While the name implies we are only woodturners there is a whole lot more to the club than this one aspect of wood working.

The clubs main aim is to promote the knowledge and skills of wood turning and allied crafts such as pyrography, scroll saw, carving and furniture and toy making, within the general community, while enjoying the fellowship that comes from that common interest.

The club also participates in various activities within the region and around Victoria by demonstrating  the various disciplines of wood working and through sales of members work.  The main shows are the Bendigo Agricultural Show, The Sheep and Wool Show (Bendigo), Australia Day Celebrations at Lake Weeroona, the Alternative Farming Expo (Seymour) and the Working with Wood Show (Melbourne).

To encourage the youth to take up this hobby we hold hands on activites for the Scouts and Venturers where each participant can try their hand at the various diciplines of wood working.

No matter what your skill level is from professional to just wanting to learn how to work with wood there is something for everyone here at the Bendigo Woodturners.
